Summarized Definition

After working with a Cause for a period of time, learning and engaging in his prescribed Process, and experiencing the attendant Effects, valuable Resources are developed that can be used in a moment’s notice to sustain the members of the relationship through adverse circumstances. When both members of a relationship are able to consistently sustain each other throughout these times, attraction and compatibility increase.

In the diagram, we can visualize our progression and regression in Results (blue dots). When we progress in the obtainment of our Desired Results (Resources), compatibility incrementally increases in our relationship (Result B). When we regress in our Desired Results (Resources), compatibility incrementally decreases (Result C).

Expanded Description

Return to the question

Your rate of progression is determined by your level of sacrifice. If your sacrifice process is intense, your rate of progression will be fast. If it is less intense, your rate will be slower. It’s wise to work within your zone. Running faster than you have strength will end in burnout or injury. Not being diligent enough will end in apathy, boredom, and atrophy. The usual issue with not running fast enough is having too many Desires you’re trying to obtain. The others are taking up too much of your time and you can’t consistently work on this one.
